A Review of One of My Favorite Books

Yes, yes, I have a favorite book.  I mean I have a many, but this post is about one book.Also, it's no surprise that all my favorite books are about cats because what's a book without cats in it.

The book is called "How to Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting to Kill You" by The Oatmeal. You might of heard of The Oatmeal. He's the guy that illustrates really funny comics (like the one below).

Okay, now back to the review. This Book is absolutely hilarious. Even the human enjoyed reading it. Also, when the human got the book it came with a free poster. I made the human hang it up on the wall because it's funny and cool.

Now, the book is not like your boring romantic sci-fi adventure book. It provides humor and interesting comic like illustrations.

If I Could Speak Human...

Well, there are a couple of things that I would say if I could speak human. So, I had the human type out a list because of course I can't type or speak human.

1. Where's my food?
2. Why don't you give more treats?
3. How come you don't always come when I meow?
4. Why do you get mad when I decide to walk all over your laptop?
5. You should give me more food.
6. Humans can't speak cat very well.
7. Not all cats are a big fan of salmon (this includes me).
8. Catnip is one heck of a thing.
9. I'm terribly sorry if I shed too much.
10. We are a lot smarter than you think.

I could go on and on, but I'll have the human stop here for now.

How To Get Your Human's Attention

I outline the best ways to get your human's attention. Now these ideas may not work for every cat, but give them a try and see what happens!

1. Knock Something Down: You have to be careful with this one. Try not pick something expensive or glass. Otherwise, you'll be in a lot of trouble. I've been down this road and it's not fun. Pick something like a book or paper.
2. Meow a lot: This always gets my human's attention. No one can resist a cute cat meowing.
3. Walk all over their stuff: This another one you have to be careful with. You have to make sure it's not something important their working on like a big paper for college.

These are just three ideas, but they work for me and maybe they will work for you! Just be careful on how you choose to do them!

Story Time/Rant - Pesky Squirrels

It's a quiet sunny afternoon. I'm taking a little snooze on my favorite chair which so happens to be next to the window. So I'm snoozing away the afternoon then all of a sudden I hear a noise. This noise must of been so loud because I sprang up out of my chair.

I go to the window and what do I see? I squirrel playing around by the window. I stare at it and it stares back. This squirrel just woke me up from my nap. I think I scared it away because I was really glaring at this squirrel. After this little showdown I decide to go back to my chair to finish up my nap.

I finally get back on the chair and starting falling back asleep. I'm half asleep when I hear the same noise. I go back to the window, and guess what? The same squirrel came back for another visit. I'm livid now because I"m trying to take a well needed nap and then squirrel thinks it's funny to disrupt my peace time.

Now, I give this squirrel the death stare. This squirrel is now ignoring me. He's over there eating an acorn like no one is watching. I gave up and went back to my chair.

And you know what happens next? He comes back with a little friend and they're playing a little game of tag or something. I think this squirrel was trying to sabotage my nap or something. So now I have to walk clear across the apartment to find a another napping area.

Those pesky squirrels always find a way to disrupt my nap. This isn't the first time this has happened to me. They never let me take a nap in peace.

Lazy Sunday

Sundays call for naps and more naps.

Cat Fitness

One way I stay in top kitty shape is by doing yoga. It's quite easy.  You just do a little stretching. I recommend the pose I'm doing below. 

This is a great way to stretch out your muscles. I recommend doing a little yoga once a week. I recommend doing it on Sunday because it's the day after Caturday. You gotta work off all those tunatinis from the night before.

So do a little kitty yoga. You won't regret it.

The Cat Interview

Tne human tried to interview me. These are the results. 

Human: Hi, Dexter! So, how it's going?

Dexter: Lady. How long will this interview be? I got places to be and things to see. 

Human: Not very long. 

Dexter: Good. *impersonating Grumpy cat's face*

Human: What's your favorite thing to do?

Dexter: Easy. Sleeping. 

Human: That's it?

Dexter: Looking out the window. 

Human: What do you like looking at?

Dexter: Squirrels, lizards, and birds. The usual things. 

Human: Interesting. What's your favorite fish!

Dexter: Is that even a question? Tuna of course! 

Human: Ah, okay. 

Dexter: Are we done yet?

Human: Not quite. 

Dexter: ..........

Human: Next, question. Wait, where are you going?

*Dexter walking out of the room*

Dexter: I smell tuna!

Human: Well, then....
